3 things I learnt (Mar. 8)

It seems we've really been on a food kick lately (like other weeks, no topic questions were about food), yet it still prevailed as the common talking point!

1. Do you remember Pepsi Blue? I had totally forgotten about it until it came up in a chat recently (it only had a short production life between 2002 - 2004 in North America). But as I was reading about Pepsi Blue today, I came across this article saying that it will be making a comeback for summer 2021!

2. Lays paprika potato chips are not available in Canada or the US - but are common in Europe. If anyone knows why some flavours are commonly available in one country, but not another, I would love to know! And if anyone from Lays corporate happens to be reading this - I promise, there is a high demand for the paprika flavoured chips in North America!

3. And for something not junk food related (but still food related!), there was a bit of a kerfuffle in the restaurant industry in Minnesota a few years ago. It was found that restaurants were offering Walleye fish - but what was being served was not actually Walleye fish at all! Instead, people were likely getting European Zander (also known as Pike Perch). Here is a local's write up on the news.

'til next week!
