3 things I learnt (April 5)

Happy Easter! I'm so excited that spring is here (at least in this corner of the world)!

1. In case you have a problem with deer in your yard (like me!), I recently learnt that deer don't like daffodils (but love tulips), so they are one flower you can plant without the need for a 6 foot high deer fence.

2. Polar bears don't eat much at all during the summer months! As their diet consists mostly of seals, which are easier to hunt during winter, they tend to spend their summers conserving as much energy as possible. This even includes swimming to places, as opposed to walking, because they float so well!

3. 'Coon hunting' is a practice of tracking and hunting racoons with off-leash dogs. This time I turned to YouTube to learn a bit more about it, and found out that they have GPS tracker collars for the dogs! It makes sense, as one of the fellows in the video made a comment of how he used to spend more time searching for his dogs that had run away, than actually finding racoons!

'til next week!
